Coronavirus in Indonesia: last travel regulations to enter Indonesia

Some weeks ago, we published a post informing you that Bali will reopen tourism for 19 countries starting on 14 October. But due to new COVID-19 variant authorities are changing now the rules. 

But what is the current coronavirus situation in Indonesia?  And what is the current coronavirus situation on the island of Bali

Indonesia has recorded a total of 4.254.815  coronavirus infections since the beginning of the pandemic, of which 4.102.993 have recovered and 143.782 people have died. There are currently some 8.040  active cases of Coronavirus in Indonesia.  We can follow it on BNPB Indonesia

Bali vaccination numbers for 25-Nov-21 were: First dose 3,444,889 (77.1% of the population); second dose 3,021,044 (67.6% of the population); 5,673 additional doses yesterday. (Percentages are based on the TOTAL population number used by the Ministry of Health (4,466,595, which is the BPS projected 2021 population based on the 2020 census.) https://vaksin.kemkes.go.id/#/provinces

To prevent the spread of  the new variant  COVID-19   Omicron,  Indonesia has decided to ban travellers from eleven  starting 29th November 2021. The eleven countries are:


Sur África

Botswana

Namibia

Zimbabwe

Lesotho

Mozambique

Eswatini

Malawi

Angola

Zambia

Hong Kong

 

Another new policy is that Indonesian citizens who enter Indonesia and have been in these countries will be required to quarantine for 14 days

And the government has also decided to increase the quarantine time for foreigners and Indonesian citizens who enter Indonesia to seven days, up from the previous three.
